To know me is to know my love of Brooklyn-based indie rock bands. At the top of this list is the band Grizzly Bear. I love them. And they're coming to Ryman Auditorium in September. I wasn't sure if they had put out an album since Veckatimest (they haven't) & in looking, I fell down a YouTube wormhole of Grizzly Bear videos & live performances. Here are my favorites:

Grizzly Bear has a new album coming out on September 18th. Here is "Sleeping Ute" from that album.
Tickets still available for the September 18th show at the Ryman. $35. Buy here.
In my Grizzly Bear research, I found two interesting facts about lead singer, Ed Droste. One, his second cousin co-founded Hooters (?!). Two, he married his long-time boyfriend in 2011 & they live in Williamsburg (of course they do). I found a neat article about them with pictures of their apartment (& dog) here. Enjoy!
