I’m in a young family and up until this decade, I’ve had all of my grandparents. I even had a great-grandparent up until college. Two years ago I lost my grandmother, who I was very close to and who’s wedding rings I wear. This week I lost my grandfather, her husband. I spent the first 8 years of my life in Oklahoma, where they lived. They’re the grandparents most of my childhood memories are from - holidays at their house, my first pair of roller skates, trips to Wal-Mart to buy a new dress after a good report card, FRIED CHICKEN. I don’t have a ton of childhood memories, but the ones I do have involve them, their house, and their pets. So here’s to Jack and Dixie Andrews, who live on in my heart, in my dreams, and on the ring finger of my left hand.
I spent this week navigating a lot of emotion. I also spent this week hiding from a lot of emotion. Let my disassociation be your gain.

This Atlantic article on how Gen Z (younger than Millennials) is using IG broke my brain. I’m legit teaching workshops on how you have to have good/profesh pictures on your IG feed and these 22 year olds are changing the whole dang game. *face palm emoji

Remember Dooce? I’m talking to a very specific audience right now, but you know who you are. I never became a “big” blogger, but I’ve been a blogger since 2007 and I’m fascinated with the relationship between old school blogging and social media. There’s a connection there that I would 100% take a graduate level class on. ANYWAY. Here’s what happened to Dooce.

I will die on the hill of quit paying so much attention to #45 and focus on your state legislature. Tennessee is a political hell state and a lot went down this week (every week). P.S.
